JFL Credit Backs Miami-Based Powerhouse Engines Expansion

Miami-based aviation services provider Powerhouse Engines is launching a new engine investment program backed by capital from JFL Credit Opportunities. The partnership aims to accelerate the company’s transition from a specialized MRO and leasing shop into a broader player in the commercial aircraft engine trading and aftermarket parts market.

JFL Credit Backs Miami-Based Powerhouse Engines Expansion

Powerhouse Engines has built its reputation on the CFM56 engine series, combining technical maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services with an established leasing platform. By securing funding from JFL Credit—a firm managing over $9 billion in assets—the company plans to leverage its existing technical infrastructure to acquire additional engines and scale its aftermarket parts inventory.

Lionel Jolivot, partner at JFL Credit, noted that the company’s ability to solve complex technical problems and maintain fast turnaround times made it a clear candidate for expansion capital. According to Powerhouse CEO Eric Engdahl, the new partnership provides the necessary liquidity to pursue engine acquisitions that were previously out of reach, allowing the firm to integrate trading capabilities directly into its current service model.
