The STRAHL HD unit balances heavy-duty capability with field-ready mobility. Designed for boreholes ranging from 2 to 80 inches in diameter, the system features a 1.77-inch dual-camera head. This setup allows for simultaneous viewing of the borehole bottom and sidewalls, with the side-view lens providing a continuous 360-degree pan. Integrated LEDs illuminate casing conditions, making it possible to identify corrosion, groundwater infiltration, and structural deposits. The camera head is IP68-rated, capable of resisting pressures up to 30 bar in fresh water.

STRAHL HD Borehole Camera Upgrades to Motorized Winch
Moving hundreds of feet of cable by hand is the most physically taxing part of borehole inspection, turning a technical job into a grueling workout. By adding a motorized winch to its portable STRAHL HD system, the company aims to eliminate manual cable retrieval without forcing operators to scale up their equipment.
The newly integrated motorized winch handles cable lengths of 656 or 984 feet, significantly reducing the strain on field technicians. A built-in footage counter syncs depth data directly with the visual feed. Despite these additions, the entire system remains compact enough for single-person transport in a standard vehicle, avoiding the need for specialized inspection vans. Operators can manage the entire workflow on-site using the rechargeable battery, a 13-inch HD monitor, and onboard recording tools.
