Chicago-based Tusker has acquired Cleveland’s Fortress SRM, integrating nearly 50 cybersecurity professionals and a 24/7 Security Operations Center into its national network. Tusker Expands Cybersecurity Reach with Fortress SRM Acquisition

The merger combines Fortress SRM’s specialized focus on digital forensics, incident response, and virtual CISO leadership with Tusker’s broader IT infrastructure portfolio. For Tusker, the integration of the Cleveland firm represents a significant move toward its goal of becoming a full-stack technology provider. The company now oversees regional operations across six hubs, including Boston, Green Bay, and Duluth, supported by a workforce that has grown to over 400 employees.

Matt Zafirovski, CEO of Tusker, noted that the move is designed to bolster the firm's ability to act as a comprehensive technology partner by planting a flag in the Ohio Valley. Fortress SRM President Jess Walpole emphasized that the transition allows their existing client base to access expanded IT support, ranging from hardware and network management to modernization projects, while maintaining the personalized service model established since the firm's founding in 2018.
