Gupshup Debuts Self-Serve Voice AI for Automated Customer Interaction

Moving beyond text-based messaging, Gupshup has unveiled a self-serve platform allowing businesses to build, test, and deploy AI-driven voice agents. The system integrates directly with existing infrastructure for WhatsApp, RCS, and SMS, enabling automated handling of sales, support, and operational calls through a unified interface.

The platform provides a no-code, prompt-based environment where companies configure voice profiles, knowledge bases, and complex workflows. Before deployment, teams can run simulations and define specific guardrails to ensure model reliability. Once live, the system offers granular analytics, including transcripts and conversation logs, to monitor success rates and user satisfaction.

Unlike rigid software stacks, the platform allows businesses to select their own speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and LLM providers. It supports a variety of telephony options, including PSTN and WhatsApp voice channels, across both cloud and on-premise deployments. This flexibility builds upon Gupshup’s existing infrastructure, which currently processes 500 million voice calls and 10 billion total interactions monthly for over 50,000 clients.

CEO Beerud Sheth noted that the tool addresses different market needs: driving universal accessibility in emerging regions while focusing on automation and efficiency in developed markets. The platform is currently available for testing, with pricing set at 0.035 USD per minute.
