Paxos Brings Native USDG Stablecoin to Mantle Network

The Global Dollar Network has integrated USDG onto the Mantle layer-2 blockchain, enabling native minting of the stablecoin without third-party bridges. This expansion allows the Ethereum-based network to utilize Paxos-issued assets for institutional settlement and decentralized finance applications while joining a coalition of over 150 industry partners.

Paxos Brings Native USDG Stablecoin to Mantle Network

By launching natively, USDG bypasses the security risks and technical friction associated with bridged tokens. Paxos can now create and redeem the dollar-linked asset directly on Mantle, ensuring a one-to-one redemption ratio. For Mantle, the integration serves a dual purpose: providing developers with a regulated liquidity asset and granting the network a share of rewards generated by the stablecoin’s backing reserves.

This move aligns with Mantle's aggressive push into real-world assets, a sector that has seen its total value locked grow to approximately $234.2 million. With over 700 tokenized products now live, including instruments linked to SpaceX shares and Franklin Templeton ETFs, the addition of USDG provides a stable foundation for complex on-chain strategies. While the integration broadens the ecosystem's utility, access to specific products remains constrained by regional regulations and the varying legal status of tokenized securities under U.S. law.
