SKF Partners with Sentea to Scale Fiber-Optic Bearing Intelligence
SKF is moving its fiber-optic sensing technology into the industrial mainstream through a strategic partnership with Sentea. By launching the SKF Core hardware platform, the company aims to simplify the deployment of its Insight bearings, providing machine operators with real-time internal data to move from reactive to predictive maintenance.
SKF will debut the new platform at the AMB 2026 exhibition in Stuttgart, scheduled for September 15–19. The company booth will feature live demonstrations of the hardware alongside other new releases, including the Performance series of super-precision angular contact ball bearings and an automated Progressive Lubrication Pump. These additions reflect a broader strategy to refine machine tool reliability through both advanced sensing and automated maintenance support.
