Designed for hybrid creators, the optic balances a wide, unique perspective with a compact, weather-sealed build intended for both still photography and professional VR capture.
Engineered for portability, the unit weighs only 11.1 ounces and measures 3.3 inches in length. Despite its size, Sony has integrated professional-grade controls, including an aperture ring with a click switch, a zoom lock, and a focus hold button. The lens also features a rear filter holder and a fluorine front coating to withstand harsh environments. Beyond standard photography, the optic is specifically optimized for 3D VR imaging, supported by minimized focus breathing and linear manual focus response for predictable focus pulls.
