Andrej Danko, a veteran of ServiceNow and SAP, has joined Arlington-based defense firm Air as Chief Product and Technology Officer. Air Taps ServiceNow Executive Andrej Danko as New CPTO

Danko arrives at a pivotal moment for the company, which reached unicorn status in 2025 and recently surged to the 18th spot on the 2026 NatSec100 list. Tasked with steering product strategy and engineering, he will oversee the development of the Air Enterprise Readiness platform, a tool designed to close the gap between front-line requirements and the supply chain capabilities of the national security apparatus.

CEO Tara Murphy Dougherty emphasized that Danko’s background in scaling AI for public sector use is essential for the firm’s next growth phase. Previously, as Vice President at ServiceNow, Danko directed AI strategy for global public sector clients, overseeing agentic AI deployments for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Defense Logistics Agency, as well as international partners including NATO members, Australia, and Singapore.

With three decades of experience spanning roles at Productboard, Merlon Intelligence, and SAP, Danko brings a specialized focus on product management and design. He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Ph.D. in Applied Computer Science, credentials he intends to apply toward streamlining how the military aligns development and sustainment through the company's software.
