PROTEOR Debuts Story Collection to Reshape Mobility Care

Twenty personal narratives form the core of Unleashed, a new book from PROTEOR designed to pivot the company’s focus from hardware to human experience. Debuting at the 2026 AOPA National Assembly in Las Vegas, the collection marks a strategic shift toward community-led innovation ahead of the company's 2027 initiatives.

PROTEOR Debuts Story Collection to Reshape Mobility Care

Rather than focusing on prosthetic devices or clinical diagnoses, the book provides a platform for individuals to define their own journeys. For Sharon Gwynn, manager of community impact at PROTEOR USA, the project serves as a prerequisite for future development. The company is currently mapping its 2027 strategy by gathering feedback from patients, caregivers, and clinicians to identify gaps in existing mobility support systems.

This initiative reflects a broader effort to move away from top-down programming. By prioritizing direct engagement with the limb loss and limb difference community, PROTEOR aims to integrate these firsthand perspectives into its product development and service models. The book is currently available through Amazon and BookBaby, with physical copies showcased at booth 313 during the AOPA National Assembly.
