Topgolf Transforms Sanford Stadium into Golf Hub for UGA Bye Week

Sanford Stadium’s Dooley Field will trade gridiron action for golf targets this October as Topgolf and fan platform Glory Glory launch their inaugural Stadium Series event. Running from October 20 to 25, the activation turns the Bulldogs' home turf into an interactive experience during the football team’s scheduled bye week.

The installation features 22 hitting bays positioned in the stadium's West End Zone, where fans can test their accuracy against interactive targets for prizes. Beyond the driving range setup, the event utilizes existing stadium infrastructure to host a sprawling fan festival under the main scoreboard, complete with live game broadcasts on the venue's massive screens.

VIP access remains a primary draw for the collaboration, with the Georgia football recruiting lounge serving as a secondary hub for golf simulators. The university’s locker room will also undergo a temporary transformation, operating as an exclusive lounge for guests. Agency of record MELT Atlanta is overseeing event execution, marking a strategic pivot for Topgolf to integrate its tech-driven gaming into high-profile collegiate environments.
