Grupa Kęty to Acquire Aluminum Producer Metra for €645 Million

KPS Capital Partners has signed a definitive agreement to sell Metra, its Italy-based aluminum extrusion portfolio company, to the Polish industrial group Grupa Kęty for €645 million. The deal, expected to close in early 2027, marks a significant exit for the New York-based investment firm.

Grupa Kęty to Acquire Aluminum Producer Metra for €645 Million

Since acquiring Metra in 2021, KPS Capital Partners has overseen a transformation of the business, which manufactures extruded aluminum profiles for the rail, industrial, and construction sectors. Under private equity ownership, Metra completed five add-on acquisitions and expanded its manufacturing capacity across nine global facilities. The company now employs approximately 1,400 people and maintains its headquarters in Rodengo Saiano, Italy.

Pierre de Villeméjane, a Partner at KPS, credited the company's growth to a strategy of operational investment and support for the existing management team. Metra CEO Enrico Zampedri noted that the integration into Grupa Kęty—a Warsaw-listed firm specializing in aluminum systems and flexible packaging—will provide the scale and technical depth necessary for the company’s next phase of global growth. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
