Adam Fan Reinvents His Sound with International Debut SKYFALL

Adam Fan has officially dropped his latest album, SKYFALL, exclusively on NetEase Cloud Music, signaling a definitive departure from his C-POP roots. Crafted alongside Grammy-nominated producers, the 10-track project pushes the artist into the territory of industrial rage rap and cinematic trap, marking his transition toward a global musical identity.

The album’s title track, which served as an advance single, arrived on September 8 and immediately claimed the top spot on multiple NetEase charts, including the Rising and Heartbeat rankings. Produced in collaboration with Lawson—a hitmaker known for his work with The Weeknd and Playboi Carti—the song serves as a portal into Fan’s internal narrative, balancing atmospheric production with themes of high-pressure success and isolation.

Beyond the lead single, the project shifts through distinct sonic phases. It begins with the somber, introspective tones of tracks like CHANCES before descending into the gritty, industrial aesthetic of TTTM and ERROR. The record eventually pivots toward high-energy club arrangements, featuring cinematic trap elements in songs such as GO GIRL and PINK. This release follows a long-standing partnership between the artist and NetEase Cloud Music, a platform that commands a massive audience of listeners born in the 1990s and 2000s. Fan describes the project as the color of black, representing the necessary darkness of introspection required before a fresh start.
