MikMak Integrates SPINS Data to Bridge Digital Media and Store Sales

By linking 1.5 billion shopper signals with SPINS point-of-sale data, MikMak is attempting to solve the fragmentation of modern retail. The commerce intelligence platform’s latest update targets the gap between digital media spend and actual store-level inventory, offering brands a real-time view of how marketing dollars translate into physical sales.

The platform enhancements, built upon the existing MikMak 4.0 architecture, focus on replacing traditional, slow-moving attribution models with an always-on intelligence layer. Through the MikMak Aura system, brands can now conduct predictive scenario planning by analyzing verified store sales alongside first-party data. This move is designed to eliminate the 'cold-start' period typically required for new marketing campaigns, allowing for immediate optimization of media investments.

To address inventory volatility, the company introduced the SPINS Journey Feed, which utilizes over 12 billion weekly observations to provide daily stock updates. This data flow aims to reduce lost sales by routing consumers only to retailers with confirmed availability. Furthermore, MikMak is embedding its insights directly into enterprise AI tools like OpenAI, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot. According to CEO Rachel Tipograph, this integration allows teams to query performance metrics using natural language, effectively bypassing the need to navigate between disparate software platforms. The suite is rounded out by upgraded conversational AI tools, dubbed 'Mak,' which automate the setup of media links and generate instant executive summaries of commerce performance.
