SANY Launches EU-Certified Electric Truck Fleet at IAA Transportation

The SE636 serves as the anchor of SANY’s display, built on a 4x2 chassis and powered by a 636 kWh battery system. It boasts a range of up to 500 kilometers with a curb weight of 10.9 metric tons. Beyond the heavy-duty model, the company debuted a broader range of electric cargo and concrete mixer trucks, signaling an intent to capture diverse segments of the European commercial transport market.

Kevin Eichele, overseeing product development for SANY–Putzmeister, emphasized that the firm’s strategy relies on vehicles validated by European certification and rigorous real-world fleet performance. This approach is backed by global scale; SANY reports that over 70,000 of its electric trucks are currently in operation worldwide. Since entering the European market in 2022, the company has logged more than 20 million kilometers across 15 countries.

To bridge the gap between product delivery and long-term reliability, SANY has established a network of approximately 650 local service workshops across Europe. This infrastructure provides fleet operators with routine maintenance, diagnostics, and 24/7 roadside assistance. During the exhibition, attendees from markets including Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland tested the vehicles, noting the quiet interior operation and efficient energy-recovery systems that distinguish the current production models.
