Temu Partners With CITEA to Expand Cypriot Digital Commerce

The partnership formalizes a strategic alliance between the retail giant and the primary representative body for Cyprus' ICT sector. Through this initiative, CITEA will facilitate connections between its member companies and Temu, providing local entrepreneurs with tools to scale their operations beyond domestic borders. This builds upon the 2025 launch of Temu’s Local Seller Program in Cyprus, which first introduced the platform's digital commerce capabilities to the region.

George Malekkos, President of CITEA, noted that the agreement offers local firms critical visibility and pathways into European markets, reinforcing the nation's status as an emerging technology hub. Beyond professional networking, the two organizations plan to collaborate on events and joint communication efforts designed to highlight success stories of local merchants utilizing digital platforms. By connecting Cypriot businesses with global demand, the partnership seeks to foster a more competitive and outward-looking entrepreneurial environment.
