Silver Awakening Launches Platform to Redefine Life After 50

With over 67 million women in the U.S. now navigating life past 50, a new platform called Silver Awakening aims to replace outdated narratives of decline with a concept dubbed Silver Sage. The initiative seeks to provide mentorship and community for a demographic that controls significant economic power but remains underserved.

Despite contributing heavily to the economy—with Americans over 50 generating $12.5 trillion in activity in 2024—women in this age group are often sidelined by media focused on retirement and aging. Research from AARP indicates that nearly two-thirds of these women feel invisible in the public discourse. CEO and co-founder Diane Manning argues that this demographic is entering a phase defined by wisdom rather than irrelevance, prompting the creation of a dedicated space for personal development.

The platform addresses specific transitions, such as career shifts, the empty nest, and loss, by organizing resources into three pillars: healing through mentorship, transforming via educational courses, and thriving through wellness initiatives. By introducing the Silver Sage archetype, the company hopes to shift the focus toward intentional reinvention, providing a private community for women to connect and navigate their next chapter with support.
