The firm’s new team provides legal counsel for various facility types, including private enterprise, shared colocation, hyperscale, and localized edge data centers. Attorneys handle land use approvals, environmental permitting, energy procurement, and project financing, leveraging the firm’s established presence in New Jersey. By formalizing this work, Greenbaum aims to streamline the navigation of state-specific regulatory hurdles and tax incentives for national and international clients.

Barbara J. Koonz, who leads the practice, noted that the firm is already advising on major projects involving billion-dollar investments. She emphasized that the move reflects a strategic response to the evolving demands of the infrastructure sector. With over a century of history in the Garden State, the firm intends to utilize its deep-rooted government and business relationships to accelerate complex developments that require coordinated advice across multiple legal disciplines.
