Bank7 Corp. to Acquire Century Financial Services in $137 Million Deal

Oklahoma City-based Bank7 Corp. has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Century Financial Services Corporation, the parent company of New Mexico's Century Bank, in a transaction valued at approximately $137 million, marking a strategic expansion into the Southwest market.

Bank7 Corp. to Acquire Century Financial Services in $137 Million Deal

The merger, which combines Bank7’s high-performing franchise with Century’s long-standing New Mexico presence, will create a combined organization holding roughly $3.3 billion in total assets. Bank7 intends to maintain the century-old Century Bank brand, leveraging its established core deposit base to strengthen its overall funding profile. Century Bank, founded in 1887, currently operates eight branches in New Mexico and two loan production offices in Texas, holding $1.36 billion in assets as of June 30, 2026.

Thomas L. Travis, CEO of Bank7, characterized the acquisition as a disciplined deployment of excess capital that offers better long-term returns than organic growth or share buybacks. The deal structure involves a mix of $70 million in cash and over 1.2 million shares of Bank7 common stock. The transaction is pending regulatory and shareholder approval, with a target closing date in the fourth quarter of 2026. While the merger agreement is the preferred path, Bank7 remains committed to a previously announced court-supervised auction process for a controlling interest in Century should the primary agreement face unforeseen obstacles.
