UN Report Accuses US of War Crimes in Iran Airstrikes
A United Nations fact-finding mission has concluded that the United States likely committed war crimes during two February airstrikes in Iran. The report, set for submission to the UN Human Rights Council, identifies the deaths of 178 civilians—including 120 children—as the result of reckless targeting and indiscriminate weapon use.
Regarding the Lamerd attack, the mission cited the use of Lockheed Martin-manufactured Precision Strike Missiles, which disperse tungsten pellets over a wide area.
