Boston Mutual Life Insurance Retains Spot Among Top State Philanthropists
For the eighth year running, Canton-based Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company has secured a place on the Boston Business Journal’s list of Massachusetts’ most charitable corporations. The insurer received the honor at the 21st Annual Corporate Citizenship Awards, held September 16 at Big Night Live in Boston.
Since the program's inception, the insurer has recorded over 1,500 volunteer hours and 800 individual donations. Financial contributions to national charitable causes have surpassed $2 million. Grant Ward, President and CEO of Boston Mutual Life, attributed the streak to the dedication of the company’s workforce. According to Carolyn Jones, Market President and Publisher of the Boston Business Journal, the annual list celebrates companies that donated at least $100,000 to Massachusetts-based charities in 2025, a year in which honorees collectively contributed over $417 million.
