Singapore’s dtcpay Secures $25M Series A to Expand Stablecoin Payments

Singapore-based stablecoin payments provider dtcpay has finalized a $25 million Series A funding round, bolstered by a strategic investment from Japan’s SBI Group. The capital injection, announced September 18, aims to scale the firm’s infrastructure and accelerate its expansion into regulated international markets.

The latest funding round follows an initial $10 million tranche led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India earlier in 2026. While the specific financial terms—including SBI’s individual contribution and the company's updated valuation—remain undisclosed, the round also saw participation from Genedant Capital and existing backer Kwee Liong Tek. The infusion brings the total Series A capital to $25 million, which founders Alice Liu and Band Zhao intend to deploy toward enhancing merchant networks and product development.

Operating as a Major Payment Institution under the Monetary Authority of Singapore, dtcpay specializes in bridging stablecoins like USDC and USDT with traditional fiat settlement. The company has already integrated its technology into retail environments, including partnerships with department store operator Metro and a Visa-linked card program. With the support of SBI, which is actively building its own blockchain settlement ecosystem, dtcpay plans to refine its business portal and consumer app features throughout the remainder of 2026. Management has signaled that this phase of growth will prioritize deeper institutional partnerships and broader regulatory compliance as the firm seeks to streamline cross-border money movement.
