The finalists emerged from a competitive pool of applicants across China’s research ecosystem after undergoing rigorous review by an advisory group of biopharma investors. Co-hosted by RA Capital Management and Qiming Venture Partners, the symposium serves as the China chapter of the original Science2Startup initiative, which has connected academic researchers with industry executives since 2018.

Before the October event, these ten teams will participate in a dedicated mentorship program. Advisors, including industry operators and investors, will work with the founders to refine scientific plans and sharpen commercial narratives. This preparation is intended to increase project maturity and facilitate effective funding conversations with global venture capitalists.

The symposium is backed by prominent figures such as Westlake University President Shi Yigong, alongside leadership from Qiming Venture Partners and RA Capital Management. The initiative is further supported by industry sponsors including Goodwin, Eli Lilly, Biocytogen, Johnson & Johnson, and Sanofi, reflecting a collective commitment to moving early-stage, academically-derived innovations toward clinical development.
