Investors who purchased DICK'S Sporting Goods common stock between September 8, 2025, and August 24, 2026, are being alerted to a class action lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, following allegations that the company misled shareholders regarding inventory and promotional pressures.

DICK'S Sporting Goods Faces Securities Fraud Class Action Lawsuit

The legal action, captioned Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union #295 Pension Fund v. DICK'S Sporting Goods, Inc., claims that the retailer failed to disclose critical issues regarding its Foot Locker inventory. According to the complaint, the company allegedly misled investors by downplaying the amount of stagnant legacy footwear held by the brand and failing to acknowledge the company's vulnerability to an increasingly promotional industry environment.

These concerns materialized on August 25, 2026, when DICK'S reported quarterly results that fell short of analyst expectations, citing inventory build-ups and aggressive industry-wide discounting. Following the disclosure, the company's stock price dropped $55.02 per share, closing at $124.31—a decline of roughly 30.7%. Investors wishing to serve as lead plaintiff in the litigation have until November 3, 2026, to file their requests with the court.
