A Form 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reveals that Strategy deployed $307.1 million in total across buybacks, asset purchases, and debt-related costs. While 57% of this capital went to retiring STRC preferred stock, Bitcoin acquisitions accounted for roughly 25%. The remaining 19% covered preferred-stock dividends and debt interest. Notably, these transactions were financed entirely through existing cash reserves rather than through new share offerings.

Strategy Prioritizes Stock Buybacks Over Bitcoin Accumulation
Between September 14 and September 20, Strategy directed $174 million toward repurchasing STRC preferred shares, more than double the $75.7 million allocated to acquire 950 Bitcoin. This spending pattern highlights a shift in capital deployment, even as the firm resumed its long-standing strategy of adding to its massive digital asset holdings.

By repurchasing 1,751,480 STRC shares at an average of $99.34 each, the company actively reduces its future dividend obligations. Because STRC is a variable-rate perpetual security, each buyback removes a long-term liability from the balance sheet. Meanwhile, the latest Bitcoin purchase brought the firm's total holdings to 846,000 BTC, acquired for an aggregate cost of $63.80 billion. Despite the recent market rebound, Strategy's cash position remains substantial, with $1.05 billion in USD cash and $5.04 billion held in reserve following the week's activity.
