Northwestern Mutual Expands Childhood Cancer Support to $75 Million
Northwestern Mutual has surpassed $75 million in total lifetime contributions toward childhood cancer research and family support, marking the milestone with a new $100,000 investment in Milwaukee’s Children’s Wisconsin MACC Fund Center and the launch of a dedicated award for frontline healthcare professionals.
Beyond direct hospital grants, the firm is leveraging its community partnerships to drive September fundraising efforts. Through the "Research Batted In" program with the Milwaukee Brewers, the company funds five hours of research for every RBI hit by the team. Additionally, Northwestern Mutual has pledged up to $2 million for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, donating $100 for every new financial plan delivered to prospective clients throughout the month. Since 2012, these combined efforts have funded over 860,000 hours of research and supported hundreds of students through scholarship programs.
