Kansas City Current Plans Record-Breaking Fan Event for Season Finale

The club will increase CPKC Stadium’s capacity to 12,000 for the final regular-season match, while introducing a "Current Landing Grounds Pass" for an additional 6,000 fans. These $10 passes grant access to the adjacent waterfront district, where screens, food trucks, and live music will sustain the atmosphere. This expansion serves as a trial for the club’s long-term ambitions to scale its matchday operations.

"Expanding capacity, opening Current Landing and creating a full day experience reflects where we're headed as an organization," said club president Raven Jemison. The festivities extend well beyond the 4 p.m. kickoff. Following the NWSL match, the riverfront will host a watch party for the Kansas City Chiefs’ primetime game against the Seattle Seahawks, with retired Chiefs players slated to appear during the pre-match festivities.

To mark the occasion, the first 10,000 attendees will receive commemorative flags, while a select number of fans inside the stadium will secure limited-edition bobbleheads. Current Club members have priority access to reserved seating within the new landing zone through October 1. The event underscores the club's strategy of blending professional sports with city-wide entertainment, further cementing the riverfront as a central hub for Kansas City’s athletic culture.
