HexClad Expands Hybrid Technology into Bakeware Market

After four years of development, HexClad is moving beyond the stovetop with a new six-piece hybrid bakeware collection. The line features a PFAS-free ceramic nonstick coating designed to withstand temperatures up to 900°F, aiming to solve long-standing durability issues common in traditional home baking equipment.

The new collection includes essential kitchen staples such as a 9" x 13" rectangular cake pan, 8" x 8" square pan, round cake pans, a medium baking sheet, and a stainless-steel cooling rack. According to CEO and co-founder Daniel Winer, the brand focused on balancing nonstick ease with professional-grade heat distribution. The company claims the products are metal-utensil safe and resistant to the warping often associated with thinner bakeware.

To bridge the gap between home and professional standards, the design underwent rigorous testing by the company’s Global Culinary Council, which includes high-profile chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Dominique Crenn, and Massimo Bottura. This feedback loop was intended to ensure the pans function as reliably for home bakers as they do in high-pressure commercial environments. The move represents a significant strategic shift for the Los Angeles-based manufacturer as it seeks to capture market share in an appliance segment it characterizes as historically under-innovated.

Pre-sales for the collection are open now, with pricing for sets and individual pieces ranging from $179 to $399. Shipping is scheduled to commence on October 5.
