Adecoagro Calls $235 Million in Debt Ahead of 2027 Maturity

Adecoagro S.A. has issued a notice to redeem all of its outstanding 6.000% senior notes due in 2027, clearing $234.9 million in debt from its books. The move, scheduled for completion on October 28, 2026, removes the company’s nearest bond maturity and signals a shift toward a leaner capital structure.

The redemption price is set at 100% of the principal amount, supplemented by accrued and unpaid interest totaling $6.17 per $1,000 note. Once the October deadline passes, interest accrual will stop entirely. Management characterized the decision as a core component of its broader liability management strategy, intended to bolster the company's credit quality and financial health.

Operating across Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay, the South American agricultural producer manages over 210,000 hectares of farmland. By retiring these notes early, the firm aims to eliminate short-term debt pressure, reinforcing its balance sheet while maintaining its industrial output of agricultural goods, fertilizers, and renewable energy.
