The pilot project at the Center of Advanced Radiation Excellence in Syracuse integrates ACRO clinical pathways directly into the diagnostic and treatment process. By aligning the physician, physicist, dosimetrist, and therapist on one interface, the software aims to eliminate the administrative delays that typically occur when records move between disparate systems. Dr. Steven E. Finkelstein, who leads the research for the practice, intends to measure whether this consolidation improves the consistency and speed of care for patients moving from initial consult to treatment.

This initiative arrives as large independent urology groups increasingly bring radiation services in-house to manage the full patient journey. The FuseRx platform is designed to layer over existing electronic medical records rather than replace them, allowing clinicians to embed ACRO-validated decision support at the point of care. Following the initial consult phase, the rollout will expand to encompass the full spectrum of radiation therapy roles throughout the coming months.
