The new perpetual contracts will cover eight digital assets, including BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, LINK, and HYPE. While Bitcoin and Ether will support 10x leverage, the remaining six assets will be capped at 3x. According to CEO Vlad Tenev, the contracts feature no expiration date, with profit and loss settled every 15 minutes. Robinhood Derivatives will provide the platform, leveraging infrastructure from Bitstamp, the exchange Robinhood acquired in 2025.
To manage risk, the app will include real-time liquidation price monitoring, automated alerts, and stop-loss and take-profit order capabilities. Traders will face a promotional fee of 0.01% through the end of 2026. This move follows a series of regulatory developments in the U.S. regarding crypto derivatives, though Robinhood maintains its offerings will function under its existing status as an NFA member and CFTC-registered entity.
