The converted vessel will feature a storage capacity of approximately 143,000 cubic meters and a regasification flow rate of 650 million standard cubic feet per day. Equipped with Moss-type cargo tanks, the unit is engineered for an economic life of two decades. This addition aims to meet rising global demand for rapidly deployable energy infrastructure, according to Mehmet Katmer, general manager of Kinetics.

Kinetics to Convert LNG Carrier Arctic Voyager into FSRU
Kinetics is expanding its energy infrastructure fleet by acquiring the LNG carrier Arctic Voyager for conversion into a floating storage and regasification unit. Renamed the LNGT Akdeniz, the vessel will provide utility-scale regasification capacity and is expected to enter service by the third quarter of 2028.

Kinetics, an initiative of Karpowership, focuses on delivering floating LNG and renewable energy solutions to industrial customers and governments globally. The project aligns with the broader group strategy to maintain a versatile fleet capable of supporting energy transitions across various international markets.
