The eight-acre Detroit site features a CSX rail spur with current capacity for 26 railcars and space for significant track expansion. The facility includes a 100-ton truck scale, two 160-ton rail scales, and proximity to the CSXT primary servicing yard. With immediate access to I-75 and the international border crossings, the location is positioned to serve as a hub for cross-border logistics. The property is less than seven miles from the Gordie Howe International Bridge, tapping into a trade corridor that handles over $274 million in daily commerce.

Hilco Real Estate Lists Industrial Rail Sites in Detroit and Monroe
Industrial operators have until November 12 to secure two rail-served properties in Southeast Michigan, as Hilco Real Estate opens bidding on sites in Detroit and Monroe. The parcels, available individually or as a package, offer established access to major Class I rail lines and critical interstate highway corridors.

The Monroe location occupies a strategic middle ground between Detroit and Toledo, Ohio. Surrounded by Norfolk Southern and Canadian National lines, the site is primed for developers looking to build out rail-to-truck transload operations. Chet Evans, senior director at Hilco Global, noted that these sites provide rare, high-value infrastructure that is difficult to replicate in the current industrial market. Interested parties may participate in scheduled inspections throughout October before the final deadline for offers at 5:00 p.m. CT on November 12.
