Christopher Brankin, a veteran of Chicago’s open-outcry pits and former CEO of TD Ameritrade Singapore, has joined the CFD brokerage Mitrade as Global Markets Advisor. Mitrade Recruits Christopher Brankin to Bolster Global Market Strategy

Brankin brings over three decades of experience to the role, having navigated financial cycles ranging from the 2008 crisis to the pandemic-era market swings. His background includes overseeing execution and clearing operations at thinkorswim and leading regulated firms throughout Asia. At Mitrade, he will provide market commentary and educational insights designed to help users decode the complex forces currently shaping global asset prices.

His arrival coincides with a period of heightened pressure for European traders, characterized by supply chain disruptions and persistent energy price instability. Brankin noted that modern traders are essentially importing volatility, necessitating a deeper understanding of market mechanics. The brokerage, which holds regulatory authorizations across multiple jurisdictions including CySEC, ASIC, and CIMA, currently serves over seven million users with a suite of indices, forex, and commodity-based CFD products.
