Kim’s appointment marks a transition in the firm’s executive leadership as current Chief Legal Officer Steve Kemps prepares to retire at the end of the year. Kemps will remain with the company as a special advisor until December 31, 2026, to facilitate the handover. During his tenure at Gartner, Kim managed global legal and compliance departments, internal audit, and risk management, while also briefly leading the firm's $200 million digital markets division.
