The day of service targets diverse community needs, ranging from park maintenance and animal welfare to food insecurity programs. While the credit union maintains a strong footprint in Central Texas, remote staff members will simultaneously participate in service projects within their own local regions. This year marks a milestone for the program, which originated in 2019 during the institution's 70th anniversary as a series of grassroots acts of kindness.

A+ Federal Credit Union Marks Five Years of Community Service
On October 12, 2026, employees at A+ Federal Credit Union will step away from their desks for the fifth annual A+ Gives Day. The initiative coordinates volunteer efforts across the country while distributing $10,000 in grants to five local nonprofits selected through a public voting campaign.

Eric R. Kase, President and CEO of A+FCU, noted that the event serves as a focal point for the organization’s year-round commitment to philanthropy. During the previous year’s effort, more than 490 employees contributed over 1,500 hours of labor to 74 different organizations. The $2,000 donations being awarded to each of the five winning nonprofits this year were determined by community participation, reinforcing the credit union's strategy of involving its 190,000 members in its charitable decision-making process.
