CompTIA Updates DataSys+ Certification for AI and Cloud Integration
As organizations scramble to integrate AI into their business infrastructure, CompTIA has launched the DataSys+ V2 certification to bridge the widening skills gap. The updated credential focuses on the shift from traditional database administration toward managing complex hybrid-cloud environments, data pipelines, and emerging AI-assisted operations.

Carl Bowman, senior vice president of exam services at CompTIA, noted that the ability to securely govern and optimize data has transitioned from a back-office task to a business-critical necessity. DataSys+ V2 targets professionals with two to three years of experience, covering updated domains such as multi-cloud administration, database security, and AI-driven automation. To support the new objectives, CompTIA has refreshed its CertMaster curriculum to include practical training in machine learning, prompt engineering, and modern data acquisition techniques.
