Ailux Recruits Johnson & Johnson Veteran Lloyd Miller as CMO
With plans to move its first AI-native biologics into human trials by 2027, Ailux has appointed Lloyd S. Miller, M.D., Ph.D., as its new Chief Medical Officer. Miller joins the biotech firm after a two-decade career in clinical leadership, aiming to bridge the gap between AI-driven discovery and patient-centered medicine.

At Ailux, Miller will oversee the transition of the company’s internal pipeline from the laboratory to the clinic. CEO Alex Li noted that Miller’s experience in immunology will be vital as the company expands its global footprint. Beyond his corporate background, Miller maintains academic ties as an Adjunct Professor of Dermatology at both Johns Hopkins and the University of Pennsylvania. His mandate includes establishing a new U.S.-based clinical and research facility to support the company’s existing operations in Shanghai and the United Kingdom.
