The upcoming procession, themed "Welcome," centers on the concepts of community, hospitality, and the shared experiences that bind neighborhoods together. Spectators along Colorado Boulevard will see the return of traditional floral floats, international marching bands, and equestrian units, marking a tradition that dates back to its 1890 origins as a display of Pasadena's winter blooms.

Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media, described the broadcast as an opportunity to provide families with a hopeful start to the new year. For the organization, the event serves as a continuation of its focus on faith and family-oriented programming. Following the parade, the day's events will transition toward the 113th Rose Bowl Game, which is set to host a college football quarterfinal, further anchoring the day in long-standing Southern California traditions.
