Japan Trading Card Center Expands Online Repack Service to the U.S.

After three years of domestic success, Tokyo-based Japan Trading Card Center has officially brought its digital repack experience to the United States. Following earlier launches in Taiwan and Hong Kong, the platform now offers American collectors a way to purchase and open card packs virtually via a dedicated English-language application.

Japan Trading Card Center Expands Online Repack Service to the U.S.

The expansion marks a strategic shift for CEO Toshihiro Oyama, who founded the company in 2023 with the goal of exporting Japan's specific trading card culture. The service allows users to purchase digital packs through smartphones or computers, with the contents revealed instantly on screen. To facilitate the transition, the company has implemented local currency payments and a direct-to-home shipping system for physical cards.

Transparency remains a core component of the platform's operation. Before any purchase, users can view the total number of packs available, the odds for specific card tiers, and the current card list. While market values for these collectibles fluctuate, the company provides these metrics to manage expectations. The service is restricted to users aged 18 and older, and JTCC currently covers international shipping costs to encourage adoption across its growing global footprint.
