Danaher and NVIDIA Partner to Automate Scientific Discovery

Danaher Corporation is joining forces with NVIDIA to integrate generative AI and accelerated computing into its laboratory instrumentation, aiming to create a continuous feedback loop where digital models and physical experiments accelerate the path from scientific hypothesis to verified evidence.

The collaboration centers on embedding high-performance computing directly into the laboratory environment. By combining Danaher’s scientific hardware and workflow software with NVIDIA’s accelerated analytics and edge computing platforms—such as DGX Spark—the companies intend to compress the discovery timeline from years to months. The effort will leverage BioNeMo for biological foundation models and utilize RAPIDS for faster data processing, allowing researchers to refine their experimental designs based on real-time inference.

Initial deployment focuses on a select portfolio of priority instruments, with a long-term roadmap that explores the use of NVIDIA Cosmos world models and Omniverse Digital Twins. The objective is to keep experimental data at the core of decision-making, ensuring that AI-generated predictions are rapidly validated by physical evidence. Danaher’s leadership, including CEO Julie Sawyer Montgomery, emphasized that this integration seeks to provide researchers with a more adaptive, connected innovation ecosystem without restricting their choice of technology standards or model providers.
