City First Bank Taps MANTL to Scale Nationwide Digital Presence

The partnership integrates MANTL’s retail account opening suite across the bank’s physical and digital channels. For customers, this means the ability to open accounts in minutes from any location. For the bank’s internal operations, the transition automates critical compliance workflows, including Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) checks, significantly reducing the manual burden on relationship managers.

Brian Argrett, president and CEO of City First Bank, noted that the digital upgrade is a strategic step in making banking more accessible. As a certified B Corporation and Community Development Financial Institution, the bank plans to use these technical efficiencies to support growth beyond its current footprint in Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. Alkami Technology, which provides the platform, emphasized that the deployment is intended to balance rapid market expansion with the personalized service that defines the bank’s community-focused model.
