Visa Launches 24/7 Stablecoin Funding for Global Payouts

Visa has officially transitioned its stablecoin prefunding service into commercial production, enabling businesses to use USDC to facilitate international payouts. Starting October 15, 2026, the service allows companies to bypass traditional banking hours, with payment processor Inyo Global serving as the inaugural partner for the live integration.

Visa Launches 24/7 Stablecoin Funding for Global Payouts

The service integrates USDC funding into the existing Visa Direct infrastructure, allowing eligible clients to supply funds for cross-border transactions in near real time. By utilizing Inyo Global’s established platform, businesses can manage international disbursements across more than 180 countries without needing to overhaul their existing technical architecture.

Under standard industry practices, companies typically rely on conventional banking schedules to prefund accounts, often leading to delays in global settlement. The new arrangement allows firms to maintain liquidity through Circle’s dollar-backed stablecoin, which maintains a value of $1. According to Robson Dantas, chief product and technology officer at Inyo Global, this integration provides a 24/7 funding method accessible through familiar APIs already used for compliance, fraud management, and transaction distribution.

This commercial rollout follows a series of successful pilot programs conducted throughout 2025, which tested both stablecoin prefunding and direct wallet payouts for gig workers and creators. While the service is now live, Visa noted that actual payment delivery speed remains subject to the specific requirements and regulations of the destination market. Vira Platonova, global head of Visa Direct, emphasized that the move marks a shift from experimental testing to practical adoption for business customers. Visa has not yet disclosed specific transaction volumes or a comprehensive list of eligible markets for the new service.
