The selection process, overseen by the Cardano Foundation, moved away from public voting in favor of a specialized panel of 35 reviewers. These experts vetted 117 applications, eventually shortlisting 31 finalists before choosing the final dozen. Recipients are required to launch their integrations on the mainnet within three months, with performance bonuses of up to 50% available for the top three performers.

Cardano’s Project Catalyst Awards 2 Million ADA to 12 Pilot Projects
Project Catalyst has selected 12 teams to receive a share of 2 million ADA, shifting its grant model toward performance-based payouts. By tying 60% of funding to adoption milestones and network activity rather than initial development, the program aims to ensure that ecosystem tools translate into verifiable on-chain usage.

The successful proposals focus on stablecoin integration, decentralized finance, and real-world asset tokenization. Notable selections include SyncAI’s anyqr for merchant payments, House of Titans’ perpetual trading platform ATLAS, and Aline Health’s medical credentialing system. Unlike prior rounds, this pilot utilizes a milestone-based disbursement structure: 40% is released upon onboarding, another 40% follows adoption targets, and a final 20% is contingent on sustained network activity. This transition follows the Foundation's 2026 takeover of the program, which saw the return of over 40 million ADA from previous funding rounds to the treasury to facilitate more rigorous allocation standards.
