Strategy Reaffirms STRC Price Target Amid $3 Billion Buyback Push

Management disclosed that it repurchased $193.1 million in preferred shares between October 12 and 18, bringing total spending on STRC to $385.5 million over the past two weeks. This focus on capital structure dwarfs the company’s recent Bitcoin purchases, which totaled $43.6 million during the same period. With the board raising the total buyback authorization to $3 billion, $1.16 billion remains available to defend the stock price.

While the company maintains a 12% annualized dividend rate, leadership clarified that falling below the $100 mark does not automatically mandate an increase in payouts. Instead, the firm utilizes a flexible framework that accounts for market volatility, credit spreads, and reserve coverage. CEO Phong Le has previously indicated that new STRC issuance will remain suspended until the security consistently trades at or near par. As of October 18, the company’s general-purpose cash balance stood at $447.3 million, separate from the $4.83 billion reserve specifically earmarked for dividend and interest obligations.
