The scale of the exits underscores a broader trend of withdrawal pressure across the Ethereum ETF sector. According to Lookonchain’s data, ETHA accounted for roughly 77% of daily Ether withdrawals in recent snapshots, with individual transaction movements reaching as high as 29,814 ETH. While the fund still holds approximately 3,095,551 ETH—maintaining about 56.1% of the total assets tracked by the firm—the sheer volume of outflows has dominated market activity.

BlackRock Ethereum Fund Sees $1.3 Billion Exit in Month of Outflows
BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) shed 580,145 ETH over the past month, a withdrawal wave valued at approximately $1.32 billion. Analytics firm Lookonchain reported that these movements, routed through Coinbase Prime deposit addresses, highlight a significant period of divestment for the fund throughout October.

Farside data corroborates the severity of the trend, placing ETHA’s total October net withdrawals at roughly $1.42 billion. During that month, the fund failed to record a single session of positive net flows. While Fidelity’s FETH managed to attract 27,067 ETH over a recent seven-day window, providing a minor counterweight to the market pressure, it remains the sole issuer in the group to maintain a positive balance. The redemption process, handled by authorized participants via cash or in-kind transfers, continues to facilitate these large-scale movements, though the underlying motivations for the sell-offs remain opaque.
