Beyond the facility itself, Amazon has pledged over $7 million in community contributions. This includes $3 million for local emergency dispatch services, $1 million for a community space at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, and a new $150,000 grant fund. Infrastructure costs are being handled directly by the tech giant, which has agreed to cover 100% of the expenses for connecting to the Ameren Missouri energy grid without seeking rate discounts or public incentives. The project also incorporates sustainability efforts, including a partnership with Arable Labs intended to reduce regional groundwater consumption by 100 million gallons through improved irrigation technology.
