The accolade marks a significant milestone for the brand, continuing a three-year streak of international recognition across North America, Asia, and Europe. Previous honors include the 2024 Single Malt Whiskey of the Year at the USA Spirits Ratings and a similar title at the 2026 London Spirits Competition. For Founder and Master Blender Jay Bradley, the consistency across three continents under blind-tasting conditions validates the company’s focus on maturation techniques over traditional age statements.

Craft Irish Whiskey’s The Donn Secures 98-Point Rating at IWSC
The Donn Single Malt has earned a Gold Outstanding award at the 2026 International Wine & Spirit Competition, securing 98 points. This result positions the Dublin-made spirit as the joint second highest-rated whisky globally among more than 1,300 entries, cementing its status as the top-ranking Irish whiskey in the category.
At only 6.9 years old, the spirit achieves a complexity often reserved for much older whiskies. Craft Irish Whiskey credits this performance to a multi-stage cask journey, which transitions from ex-bourbon barrels through Tawny Port, virgin Hungarian oak, and various Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. By manipulating barrel sizes and using controlled underfilling, the distillery accelerates flavor integration. IWSC judges noted a profile defined by zesty cola and spice, evolving into a palate of treacle, raspberry, and red velvet cake with a lingering chocolate finish.
