Ineffable Intelligence Taps Google Cloud for Superintelligence Quest

After securing a record-breaking $1.1 billion seed round, London-based Ineffable Intelligence has partnered with Google Cloud to build the world’s first autonomous “superlearner.” Founded by AlphaGo pioneer David Silver, the startup will deploy a massive cluster of NVIDIA Vera Rubin GPUs to move beyond static dataset training.

The collaboration centers on Google’s AI Hypercomputer architecture, which Ineffable Intelligence selected over simple GPU-renting alternatives. Unlike standard training models, the startup’s mission focuses on reinforcement learning systems that generate and evaluate their own experience in real time. This requires a tightly integrated stack of high-performance networking and storage to manage the extreme computational demands of non-static AI development.

David Silver, the company's CEO, stated that his team requires a sophisticated orchestration of hardware and software to achieve "first contact" with superintelligence—systems intended to surpass human limitations in science and mathematics. By utilizing Google’s full-stack infrastructure, including its proprietary Jupiter networking, Ineffable Intelligence aims to remove traditional bottlenecks that hinder frontier research. The partnership reinforces London’s position as a focal point for European AI development, providing a platform to recruit top-tier engineering talent tasked with solving complex technical challenges.
