Cox Enterprises Selects Ten Startups for Inaugural Cleantech Residency

Cox Enterprises Selects Ten Startups for Inaugural Cleantech Residency

The inaugural cohort was drawn from a pool of 75 applicants across the Southeast. These companies focus on diverse sectors, including infrastructure modernization, supply chain efficiency, and resource sustainability. Throughout the six-week program, founders will work directly with Cox Enterprises leaders, investors, and technical experts to refine their business models and accelerate commercialization.

Jack Semrau, Atlanta Venture Ecosystem lead at Cox Enterprises, noted that the program aims to help founders move from initial concept to scalable value. The participants include Accio Labs, Ecoatex, Jexim, Monte Caldera Technologies, Penny Pickup, Regenerative Growth Technologies, Revco, R-Fusion, VIVISTRA, and Watchfuly. These startups are addressing critical challenges such as AI-driven utility management, bio-based material manufacturing, and zero-emission logistics.

This residency is a collaborative effort involving gener8tor and the Georgia Cleantech Innovation Hub. It serves as a tactical extension of Cox Enterprises' broader commitment to the green economy, which includes over $3 billion in previous investments and a portfolio that spans advanced plastic recycling and large-scale greenhouse operations. By embedding these early-stage entrepreneurs within the company’s network, Cox intends to foster a stronger regional innovation ecosystem while identifying potential long-term partners.
