More than 1,200 students will gather at the Gas South Arena on August 8 to celebrate their academic milestones. The ceremony marks a significant assembly for the online education institution, honoring graduates from high school, college, and career training programs who successfully balanced personal challenges with their professional ambitions.
Kermit Cook, CEO of Penn Foster, emphasized that the ceremony serves to validate the non-traditional paths many students take to reach workforce readiness. As the organization looks toward the fall semester, it plans to expand its curriculum with new vocational pathways in HVAC and healthcare. While the Atlanta event provides a physical stage for over a thousand students, the institution will maintain its commitment to accessibility by hosting a virtual graduation ceremony on December 4 for those unable to attend in person.
